Washing & Caring for Vintage

When it comes to caring for vintage, less is more—especially with denim. You should rarely be washing and drying your jeans. Over-washing can wear down the fabric, fade the dye, and change the fit entirely. All our denim is 100% cotton, which means it will naturally stretch and mold to your body over time.

Want that original, super-snug fit back? Try a quick rinse and toss them in the dryer on low heat—but don't leave them in for the entire cycle. A short tumbledry can help “snatch” them back without over-shrinking or damaging the fabric. Fun fact: many of the true vintage light washes you see today likely started out as medium or even dark washes. Washing is what really transforms the garment.

For delicate pieces like silk, cashmere, or anything with a fine weave, we always recommend hand washing or taking them to a trusted dry cleaner. Vintage items are older and often more fragile, so extra care goes a long way.

Be gentle when styling—zipping, buttoning, and putting on your vintage pieces. Treat your vintage pieces with love, and they’ll reward you with decades of wear and character.
